W obliczu niebezpieczeństwa, zbliżającego się do Starego Dębu i jego licznych mieszkańców, Leon, zrzędliwy borsuk, nie chce porzucić swojego ukochanego księgozbioru. Uparcie pozostaje w Dębie, aby czytać i cieszyć się czasem, który mu pozostał. Nagle nieproszony gość zakłóca jego spokój. Dziwne spotkanie przywołuje wspomnienia z dzieciństwa Leona, skłaniając go do przemyśleń na temat tego, co naprawdę jest najważniejsze.

In the face of danger looming over the Old Oak and its many inhabitants, Leon, a grumpy badger, refuses to abandon his beloved book collection. Stubbornly, he remains in the Oak to read and enjoy the time he has left. Suddenly, an unwelcome guest disturbs his peace. When this strange encounter brings back a rush of Leon´s childhood memories, he is forced to reflect on what really matters most.
